Several sources report that Microsoft is planning to cut the price of Xbox 360 during March. Price drop of approx. 50€ would make it cheaper than Wii, which I have always considered being very affordable.
Another interesting quote is from Microsoft E&D president Robbie Bach commenting on the Xbox Live service as a differentiator to competitors. Live will host exclusive downloadable content for GTA 4 and that’s one reason why Microsoft’s online service is superior to it’s rivals.
When playing games like GTA (the previous versions) at least I would have been willing to spend some extra 10 dollars (which is like one euro or something) to get more from the game. I guess this would not be major cost to developer, either. It would be very interesting to see studies and facts on what is the role of downloadable premium content in total income of the publisher.

Rather interesting development if you take notice on two things: the price reduction on Xbox and Sony winning the next gen format war. 2008 will be a totally different story than the one before, which is actually welcomed by Herring Rouge Studios.
